  • Personally developed risk management programs for nonprofits (including churches, schools [K-12, college], summer camps, conventions, etc.) using traditional risk management modalities and with an enterprise-wide mentality and approach; techniques employed effectively eliminated or transferred risks, reduced insurance premiums, reduced the frequency and severity of losses, and improved productivity
  • Developed and administered, with and without staff, benefit programs, including 403(b), Section 125 cafeteria plans, and group and voluntary life plans; monitored relevant state and federal regulations and compliance
  • Handled, with and without staff, day-to-day administration of self-insured and fully insured health plans; monitored relevant state and federal regulations and compliance
  • Developed national insurance program (750-vehicle fleet, aircraft, real and personal property [including fine arts] in excess of $100 million, numerous liability exposures), and benefits administration for organizations ranging from 25 to 2,000-plus employees
  • Acquired and maintained all insurance coverages (general liability, media liability, directors & officers liability, foreign liability, aviation, specialty risks, property coverages [and managed claims for same], workers' compensation [insured and self-insured]), employment practices liability, etc.
  • Conducted employee orientations; coordinated benefits-related education and communication

  • Worked directly with corporate counsel on contract reviews and employee-related issues
